West Ham United-owned Middlesbrough forward Jordan Hugill scored twice against Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of West Ham United-owned forward Jordan Hugill against Wigan Athletic at the weekend.
Hugill, who joined Middlesbrough on loan from Premier League club West Ham in the summer transfer window, scored both goals in Middlesbrough’s 2-0 win against Wigan at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old forward – who joined the Hammers from Preston North End in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Football.London to be worth £10 million – scored from the penalty spot in the 38th minute and found the target again on 44 minutes.
According to WhoScored, the former Preston North End forward took seven shots of which two were on target and ended in goals, had a pass accuracy of 85.7%, won four headers, and took 21 touches.
The win against Wigan means that Tony Pulis’s side are now second in the Championship table with 31 points from 17 matches, just two points behind leaders Norwich City.
Middlesbrough fans were impressed with the display produced by Hugill and have praised the West Ham-owned forward on Twitter.
