Middlesbrough winger Marvin Johnson helped Tony Pulis’s side to victory on penalties against Notts County.

Middlesbrough fans have praised Marvin Johnson, after his performance for them in the Carabao Cup last night.
Boro progressed to the next round of the competition, after picking up a victory on penalties over Notts County.
The two sides played out a 3-3 draw in normal time, in what was a really end to end contest.
And Boro fans have praised Johnson’s contribution, after he was given a rare start by Tony Pulis.
Johnson has struggled ever since moving to Middlesbrough, with the wide-man making very little impact at the Riverside Stadium.
However, with Adama Traore leaving, there may just be an opening for the former Oxford United man to try and break into the team.
While Johnson still has some way to go until he becomes a permanent starter, he may just have crept into Pulis’ thinking after his display last night.
Boro’s next match comes against Bristol City, where there will be looking to continue their unbeaten start.
