Middlesbrough fans are pleased with the Everton loanee.

Muhamed Besic of Everton celebrates after scoring the third goal during the pre-season friendly match between MK Dons and Everton at Stadium mk on July 26, 2016 in Milton Keynes, England.

Everton loanee Muhamed Besic made his home debut for Middlesbrough last night and it was a night to savour.

Boro beat Hull City 3-1 thanks to a rare brace from Rudy Gestede and a strike from Patrick Bamford.

Besic was the real star of the show in midfield and showed he can be a dominant Championship force for Tony Pulis’ side.

The Bosnian was excellent, winning three tackles and making one interception, and even had two shots at goal.

Besic was taken off after 65 minutes as he is still short of match fitness but at this point Boro were already 3-1 up and they closed the game out without him.

He was not in Sam Allardyce’s plans at Everton and last played a Premier League game in September.

This was just his second Championship appearance and so far the signs look good for Middlesbrough.

The win lifts Middlesbrough up to eighth place and Besic could have a big part to play in their battle to make the play-offs.
