Besic helped Boro pick up a 1-0 victory against Birmingham City last night, with his performance in central midfield highly impressive.
Besic helped screen Boro’s defence, as they picked up a clean sheet at St. Andrews.
Besic is becoming a highly important player for Tony Pulis’ side, and there is a widespread hope that Boro will be able to sign him from Everton on a permanent deal in the summer.
Besic has started in Boro’s last five matches, and helped them avoid defeat in their last four.
Pulis’ side are making a last ditch run for the play offs, as they aim for promotion.
Boro are currently occupying the last spot in the top six, and Besic looks likely to have a key role to play over the remainder of the season.
Whether Middlesbrough would have a chance of buying Besic off Everton remains to be seen, as if a new manager comes in at Goodison Park, he may want to assess whether the Bosnian could still have a part to play.
