Club-record signing Britt Assombalonga scored twice as Middlesbrough beat Burton Albion 2-0 at the Riverside on Tuesday.
Assombalonga, who joined Garry Monk’s side this summer from Nottingham Forest for a club record fee of £15 million according to BBC sport, opened his scoring account yesterday when he fired home from Rudy Gestede’s pass.
He scored his second goal for his new club in the second half, following up after Gestede’s shot was saved.
It was back-to-back home wins for Boro, and they have moved up to fourth in the Championship table already.

Assombalonga took to social media to share his feelings following Boro’s win. He tweeted:
The 24-year-old had five shots in the match, and completed the match with 80.7% passing accuracy. He capped off a fantastic all-round performance by making three key passes during the game, according to whoscored.com.
Middlesbrough fans took to social networking site Twitter to express their opinion on their team’s performance.
