Whilst Middlesbrough may not have made the best start to their first season back in the Premier League, it is always good to know that the players have the love and support of their fans.
As reported by Sky Sports, Marten De Roon discovered this at the weekend when fans gave him a much-needed lift back to his car.
The midfielder got held back following his side’s 1-1 draw against West Ham due to a doping test, which meant he missed the train that the rest of the squad were travelling on.

He took the next train available and upon arriving back up North, he was in the queue waiting for a taxi back to Darlington when he was spotted by some Boro fans.
The supporters then proceeded to offer the Dutchman a lift which he duly accepted. A feel-good moment for both the fans and the player who will be eyeing up Boro’s next fixture after the international break in which they will host Watford.
