Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have reportedly been impressed by Ben Gibson’s performances for Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson has admitted to the Daily Mirror that recent interest in him has been flattering.
According to the Express, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are both competing for the centre-back’s signature.
Gibson has impressed with his performances at Middlesbrough this season, and he even received a call-up to the latest England squad.
And Gibson admits that the reported interest from Tottenham and Liverpool is flattering.
He said: “It’s very flattering to hear clubs are interested, but I’m just focused on the next game for Boro.”

Boro are sure to face a fight to keep hold of Gibson in the summer, and his future could depend on whether Steve Agnew’s side are successful in their relegation battle.
Middlesbrough are currently in the thick of the fight for survival, and sit in 19th place in the Premier League table.
Boro’s defence has been very solid, but their struggles to score have stopped them accumulating the points required to be safe of the drop zone.
