He said: “It’s an important signing and he wants to be with us
“I know from our games against him the experience and quality he can give. He’s played, including in the Africa Cup of Nations as well as the Premier League, so I think he can be involved this weekend.”

Guedioura completed his move to Middlesbrough on transfer deadline day, leaving fellow Premier League side Watford on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The 31-year-old midfielder had made nine league starts for the Hornets this season plus three appearances from the bench, contributing one assist.

Dimitri Payet signing is bad news for Tottenham winger
Spurs are second in the league with ‘Boro 15th, and will want to get back to winning ways after a disappointing midweek 0-0 draw away to Sunderland.
Middlesbrough have not won any of their last six league games, and have just two wins in their last 10, and you would be hard pressed to find many neutral pundits who predict a win for Karanka’s side this weekend.
