Newcastle United lost against Stoke City in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Micky Quinn has criticised Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren on social networking site Twitter.
The former Newcastle forward has described McClaren as “clueless” following the Magpies’ 1-0 defeat to Stoke City away from home at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The defeat to Stoke means that Newcastle remain in deep trouble and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Magpies are second from bottom in the league table at the moment with just 24 points from 27 matches.
McClaren’s side have a game in hand, but there is no guarantee that they will win it.
While winning against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium was never going to be easy, a point would have been a good result.
Newcastle did try, but they came up short, and McClaren needs to sort this out quickly.
The former Nottingham Forest and Derby County boss is a good manager, but he does not appear to be getting his strategy right at the moment.
