Everton were beaten 1-0 by Liverpool yesterday evening.
Micky Quinn has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 20th December, that he just cannot understand Everton boss Ronald Koeman.
Everton were beaten 1-0 by Liverpool in the Merseyside derby yesterday, with Sadio Mane netting a last minute winner for the Reds.
And Quinn was critical of Everton’s tactics during the contest, as he felt that they were too defensive.
“I just can’t understand Koeman at the moment,” Quinn said. “It looked like they set out not to lose the derby last night. All I saw Lennon do was track back all the time.”

Initially Everton pressed high up the pitch and played with a great intensity, but they tired as the match progressed.
The Toffees were on the back foot for most of the second-half, with Liverpool dominating possession.

Everton showed great organisation, but they did not create much – with Romelu Lukaku looking isolated at times.
Everton are currently in ninth place in the Premier League table, and they have won just two of their last 12 matches.
The Toffees are next in action on Boxing Day, when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
