Newcastle United defeated Swansea City 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Former Newcastle United player turned football pundit Micky Quinn has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight, after the Magpies won 1-0 against Swansea City on Sunday.
It was also Newcastle’s first away win in the Premier League since 2015, and Quinn was extremely delighted with the result.
“So proud when @NUFC win away from home,especially with no Rafa #YES you Mighty Mags,” he tweeted after the match.
Rafael Benitez wasn’t on the dug out because of health issues, but the Magpies did just enough to seal all three points from the game.
Newcastle United skipper Jamaal Lascelles took full advantage of Swansea’s zonal marking in defence, and scored the only goal of the match.
It was the Magpies’ second successive victory in the Premier League, and it saw the Magpies climb to the 10th spot in the table.
Newcastle enjoyed only 38% of ball possession but managed 16 shots during the game, according to BBC Sport.
The Magpies will face Stoke City on Saturday in their next Premier League game.
