Newcastle United drew 2-2 with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns last night.

Mick Quinn has suggested that Newcastle United did well to pick up a result against West Bromwich Albion last night.

Newcastle came back from 2-0 down at the Hawthorns to end a run of four straight defeats.

And Quinn feels that Newcastle should feel pleased with the point that they got against the Baggies.

Newcastle had looked to be in serious trouble when they went 2-0 down against West Brom, but they showed their character to come back.

Many teams would have crumbled after falling behind, given the form, Newcastle are in – but Rafael Benitez’s men are made of sterner stuff.

Newcastle scored their first goal of the contest through Ciaran Clark, before a Matt Ritchie free-kick levelled things up.

Newcastle are now in 12th place in the Premier League – five points clear of the relegation zone.

Benitez’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
