Visitors Newcastle had 38% of the possession, took 19 shots of which five were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.

Winning against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium is not easy, and Newcastle should be pleased with a point.

However, many fans will be disappointed with the final result, as the Magpies took the lead twice against the Saints.

Although Newcastle will have been happy with a point at the start of the match, given that they allowed Southampton to come back twice will be a disappointment for many fans.
