Longstaff featured for Newcastle in their Premier League game against Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London on Saturday evening.
The 21-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Rafael Benitez’s side lost 2-1.
The youngster took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 84%, won one header, took 38 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles and one interception, according to WhoScored.
Longstaff worked hard in midfield, was disciplined and gave a good account of himself, and former Newcastle centre-forward Quinn was impressed with the performance of the 21-year-old.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge in London on Saturday evening, visitors Newcastle had 34% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
The defeat to Chelsea means that Newcastle are now third from bottom in the Premier League table with 18 points from 22 matches.
