Micky Quinn claim’s he’s heard something about Farhad Moshiri’s plans for Everton’s new boss

Everton are still looking for a new manager, as they look for a replacement for Ronald Koeman.

Micky Quinn has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on TalkSPORT, which was broadcast on 15th November, that he has heard Everton will be appointing a new manager this week.

Everton parted company with Ronald Koeman last month, but they have still not identified his replacement.

The Toffees have been linked with a host of potential managers, but complications over getting a deal over the line for any of their targets have proven problematic.

Everton have reportedly struggled to agree deals for Sam Allardyce and Watford boss Marco Silva in recent times.

But Quinn claims that he has heard that Farhad Moshiri is close to finding a new manager to take over at Goodison Park.

Quinn said: “A little dicky bird told me that Moshiri could be busy this week getting a coach in place for the weekend.”

Despite Quinn’s information, he is still in the dark over who Everton want.

Quinn feels that Everton’s board have lost their way, and do not know what they want.

“I don’t think Everton board know what they want,” Quinn said.

“Sam [Allardyce] would have fitted no problem there. Someone stated Moshiri wanted Simeone, I can’t see him going to Everton. They’re not going to get Ancelotti. I think they’ve lost their focus.”

Everton currently have David Unsworth in temporary charge, and there has been suggestions that the 44-year-old could be promoted to permanent boss.

Everton’s next match comes against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
