Gylfi Sigurdsson has been linked with a move from Swansea City to Everton this summer.
Micky Quinn has told The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT (broadcast August 7th; 7:53am) that he feels that Everton need to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer as they will otherwise lack creativity in the middle of the park.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with landing the Iceland playmaker this summer, and Sky Sports recently reported that Ronald Koeman has suggested that the completion of the deal for the Swansea talisman is not far away.

And Quinn has suggested that Everton bringing the 27-year-old to Goodison Park would be an excellent deal for the Merseyside outfit, especially given the situation surrounding Ross Barkley’s future.
“If they get Sigurdsson this week, I think that’s a big deal, I really do, because they’re lacking that creativity in the middle of midfield. Ross Barkley’s still injured, looks like he’s going to move on so they need Sigurdsson,” he told The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT.
While Quinn is unconvinced that Everton have the creativity in their ranks to deal with not signing Sigurdsson during this window, it is surely fair to say that they have captured the imagination with many of their acquisitions, including the deals for the likes of Wayne Rooney, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez among others.
But there is surely no question that signing Sigurdsson would give Everton fans even more reason to reflect positively on the window as a whole, especially if he is able to come in and replicate the form that he has shown during his time at the Liberty Stadium.
