The former Tottenham man was overjoyed on social media.
Sunday was a day of highs and lows across the Premier League.
Manchester City had the biggest high – congratulations, they are Capital One Cup champions. In the league, however, City have fallen further behind due to playing a game less. But so too have Arsenal, who will be mightily disappointed.
Manchester United have closed the gap on the top four and five thanks to their 3-2 win over the Gunners.
But the biggest winners on Sunday were, of course, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Indeed, Tottenham’s win over Swansea City – earned in dramatic fashion – takes them three points clear of Arsenal and keeps them two points off Leicester.
Micky Hazard, meanwhile, was understandably overjoyed on Twitter after the game, reacting emphatically to the 2-1 triumph:
His response sums up Spurs’ current state of euophoria – and he isn’t the only one, with Hazard praising the White Hart Lane atmosphere against Swansea.
Next up for Tottenham: West Ham United and then a certain north London derby…
