Micky Hazard has suggested that he was impressed by Giovani Lo Celso, after his full debut for Tottenham Hotspur last night.

Lo Celso started for Spurs for the first time and he got on the scoresheet, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side picked up an impressive 4-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade.

Lo Celso scored Tottenham’s first goal of the game, to set them on their way to three points in Serbia.

The Argentine’s passing was crisp throughout, as he added a great deal of creativity to Tottenham’s game.

But Hazard was equally impressed by Lo Celso’s work-rate, as the Spurs legend felt the summer signing put in a good performance for his side.

Pochettino now has a big decision to make over whether to keep Lo Celso in Tottenham’s line-up for Saturday, when they take on Sheffield United.

Although the playmaker is only just coming back from injury, his performance last night surely must have convinced Pochettino that he needs to play regularly now.

Spurs have looked short of dynamism throughout the season so far, but Lo Celso added a spark to their play yesterday.

Spurs’s win over Red Star has put them in a strong position to qualify from their Champions League group, and three points against Olympiacos next time out will be enough to see them progress to the knockout stages.
