Micky Hazard has praised Tanguy Ndombele on Twitter for his performance for Tottenham Hotspur against Shkendija on Thursday evening.

The former Tottenham star was impressed with the display produced by Ndombele, and believes that the France international midfielder looked fitter.

Hazard has added that the 23-year-old “could be a force” for Tottenham this season.

Ndombele played for Tottenham in their 3-1 victory over Shkendija away from home in the Europa League Qualifying Third Round tie.

The midfielder played for the entire 90 minutes, worked hard, helped out defensively, pushed the team forward, and put in a great shift.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old France international played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 84.2%, won three headers, took 115 touches, attempted two dribbles, and made five tackles, one interception and one clearance.

Important player for Tottenham Hotspur

Ndombele did not have a great season on a personal level for Tottenham in 2019-20, but he is a very good midfielder with a lot of potential and quality.

The former Lyon star could be a big player for Spurs this season, as Jose Mourinho’s side aim to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.
