Micky Hazard has described playing at Tottenham’s new stadium as ‘special’ and praised the fans for their ‘incredible’ support.

Tottenham’s legends were beaten 5-4 by Inter Forever on Sunday, days before the official stadium opening, with Hazard participating in the match.

Earlier on in the week, Spurs under-18s recorded a deserved win over Southampton’s youngsters as the senior side will now take to the field on Wednesday against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

After the legends encounter, Hazard, who injured his Achilles in the match, sent this message to the club’s supporters on his personal Twitter account.

There were a number of iconic names on show for the North London club, with David Ginola, Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov all rolling back the years.

Now, the unofficial matches have taken place, supporters will be hoping that the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen can produce the goods when they take to the field.

Before that Palace match takes place, Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are on a four-game winless run in the league, must see off title chasers Liverpool on Sunday.

A point against Jurgen Klopp’s men would be seen as a positive result for the London club because it keeps them ticking and ensures they remain in third place.
