Tottenham Hotspur defeated Stoke City 5-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League after thumping Stoke City 5-1 on Saturday afternoon at Wembley.
It was Spurs’s first win in five Premier League games, and was much needed to keep the pace with other top four rivals.
Spurs went ahead when Ryan Shawcross diverted the ball past his own keeper. In the second half, they scored three goals in the space of 12 minutes to put the game beyond doubt.

Son Heung-min doubled the lead, before Harry Kane scored twice for the home side. Christian Eriksen scored the fifth goal of the match in the 74th minute.
Former Tottenham player Micky Hazard has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after the game.

He says it was a “great result” and that it was the perfect way to “bed against boring negative teams”. Hazard was particularly impressed with Son and Erik Lamela’s displays during the match.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping that his side will show the same consistency between now and the end of the season.
