Tottenham Hotspur recorded a historic win in their new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
Micky Hazard reacted on Twitter as Tottenham Hotspur won their opening game at their new stadium 2-0 against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who had gone into the Premier League encounter losing four of their previous five matches, were hoping the big momentous occasion wasn’t going to get the better of them given what was at stake.
The North London outfit started well, with left-back Danny Rose being a standout performer, but it wasn’t until the second half that Heung-Min Son wrote his name in the history books and become the first official scorer at the club’s new stadium.
Christian Eriksen added a second not long after as Pochettino’s side sealed a memorable and valuable three points.

The reason behind Hazard being on crutches is because he injured himself whilst competing in the club’s legends match which took place last Sunday.
He was one of a number of former players who took to the field on that day, with the likes of Robbie Keane, Paul Gascoigne and Dimitar Berbatov also putting on the Lilywhites shirt.
The occasion may have taken the headlines, and rightly so, but in the bigger picture Spurs’ top-four hopes are well and truly back on track.
Defeats against the likes of Southampton, Liverpool and Burnley in recent times may have seen sections of Tottenham’s support sweating about their Champions League status, but the three points on Wednesday night has eased the worry for now.
Spurs won’t be in action at the weekend with their next Premier League match set to take place in ten days time at home to already-relegated Huddersfield.
But they do have a small matter of dealing with Manchester City, who they play in the Champions League next Tuesday. Spurs will be hoping to maintain their 100% record in their new stadium and take some sort of advantage going into the reverse leg at the Etihad.
