Micky Hazard has praised Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as an ‘inspiration’ and claimed that ‘nothing’ seems to faze the North London academy product.

Spurs legend Hazard did admit, however, that Kane does ‘worry’ him if he has had a ‘lean run’ in front of goal because he thinks that he is the ‘leader’ at the club.

Kane showcased his true worth on Tuesday night when he netted a brace for Spurs as they secured a much-needed win and performance against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.

Hazard had nothing but positive words to say about Kane and gushed over how he handles himself on the pitch, as he lauded him as a ‘leader’.

“Harry is our leader, our inspiration,” Hazard told Love Sport Radio. “When you watch Harry, for me he looks like nothing fazes him, never gets down on himself or loses confidence and never seems to be not committed. But when he’s had a lean run in front of goal you worry a bit because he is your leader.”

It has been a tough few months for Spurs, who will be hoping that they can start their road of recovery when they take on Liverpool on Sunday.

Both Tottenham and Liverpool were in Champions League action in midweek, as both ran out as comfortable winners ahead of that Anfield tie.

Even though Spurs have had an indifferent start to the season, Kane has still been able to produce the goods as he will be hoping to showcase what he is all about against the current Premier League leaders at the weekend.
