Micky Hazard has criticised namesake Eden Hazard for his theatricals during Tottenham Hotspur’s narrow 1-0 win over Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final tie.

Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game at Wembley as Spurs edged past Maurizio Sarri’s side with a slight advantage going into the second leg, which will be played at Stamford Bridge on January 22.

VAR was at the centre of things, which ruled that Kane was onside before rounding goalkeeper Kepa, who brought the England captain down. Kane stepped up to convert the penalty.

Spurs legend Hazard criticised Chelsea attacker Hazard, 28, for his theatricals throughout the match, with the Belgian being fouled seven times. The Spurs icon reckons the ex-Lille star was soft in going down on multiple occasions.

Hazard was at the centre of all of Chelsea’s attacks, providing the biggest threat to Spurs defence alongside the likes of Willian, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Spurs could finally end their hunt of a trophy under Pochettino in the form of the Carabao Cup after the win, as they take on Chelsea in the second leg later this month for a place in the final.

In the other semi-final, Manchester City take on League One side Burton Albion.
