Tottenham Hotspur beat Southampton 4-1 at St. Mary’s yesterday evening.
Micky Hazard and Ossie Ardiles have both praised Tottenham Hotspur for winning against Southampton at St. Mary’s last night on social media website Twitter.
Tottenham ran out 4-1 winners on the south coast, and they put in a performance which sent out a statement to the rest of their top four rivals.
Spurs appear to be going from strength to strength this term, and they have now won their last three matches in succession.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men actually fell behind in the first minute against the Saints when Virgil Van Dijk headed in a set piece.
However, Spurs showed their fighting spirit to ensure that they claimed an important three points.
Tottenham equalised through Dele Alli, before Harry Kane headed them into the lead.
Substitute Heung-Min Son then secured the victory with a well placed finished before Alli completed the triumph.
Tottenham are now in fifth place in the Premier League table – just one point behind Arsenal in fourth.
