Tottenham Hotspur snatched a draw from the jaws of victory on Sunday evening as they managed to draw 3-3 with West Ham United.

Spurs were in blistering form early on, as Son Heung-min fired them ahead inside a minute, before Son set up Harry Kane to make it 2-0.

Kane added a third, and Spurs seemed to be home and dry before a remarkable late capitulation, sparked by Fabian Balbuena pulling one back for West Ham.

Davinson Sanchez then turned the ball into his own net, and Manuel Lanzini smashed a long-range screamer into the net with virtually the final kick of the game to hand West Ham the unlikeliest of points.

Spurs had squandered a 3-0 lead in heartbreaking fashion, and Jose Mourinho likely still can’t quite process what happened last night.

Gary Lineker took to Twitter to react to the late drama, claiming that football is ‘bonkers’ behind closed doors, with Lanzini’s goal just another example of that.

Another ex-Spurs man reacted, with Micky Hazard tweeting that he couldn’t even speak after Tottenham ‘threw it away’, with Hazard completely bewildered.

Spurs fans everywhere likely agreed with Hazard’s baffled state, and Mourinho will now have to try and pick his players up after such a remarkable collapse.
