Sunderland lost against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
Micky Gray has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s defeat to Arsenal at home on Saturday afternoon.
Sunderland’s disappointing run of form in the Premier League continued at the Stadium of Light, as they went down 4-1 to the Gunners.
Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud scored twice each for the visiting Arsenal, while Jermain Defoe found the net for the Black Cats.
Gray, who started his professional club football career at Sunderland, was following the match.
The former England international was disappointed with the final result and the performance of the Black Cats.
The 42-year-old has suggested on Twitter that Sunderland are “doomed” for relegation to the Championship.
Gray has also stated that if he were Defoe, then he would want to leave the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just two points from 10 matches.
David Moyes’s side are serious danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Black Cats will take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League next weekend.
