Should West Ham United striker Andy Carroll be part of the England squad for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next season?

Former Sunderland star Micky Gray has stated on social networking site Twitter that West Ham United striker Andy Carroll should be included in the England squad for the 2018 World Cup finals.
The former England international, who played as a left-back and as a left-winger, made the comment during the Three Lions’ final 2018 World cup qualifier against Lithuania on Sunday evening.
The performance of Gareth Southgate’s side was quite disappointing, and although they won, not many fans will have been happy.
Gray believes that West Ham striker Carroll should be part of the England squad for the World Cup in Russia next summer.

Carroll is a good striker and would bring something different to the England team.
The problem with the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker is that he is quite injury-prone.
The 28-year-old striker scored seven goals and provided one assist in 15 Premier League starts for West Ham during the 2016-17 season.
