Newcastle United are set to bring in Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie.

Mick Quinn has praised Newcastle United’s transfer business so far this window on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 30th June.
Newcastle are set to sign Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie and Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle in the coming days (Shields Gazette).

The pair are two of Rafael Benitez’s top targets this summer, and Quinn feels that they will both impress in the Championship.
“Matt Ritchie – good signing,” Quinn said. “Dwight Gayle? Yeah, in the Championship he’ll score goals.”
Newcastle have already brought in Matz Sels since they have been relegated, as Benitez builds his squad for next campaign.
Newcastle are currently the heavy favourites to win the Championship – and the additions of Ritchie and Gayle really announce their intent.

Ritchie will offer creativity and energy to Newcastle’s midfield, and he could be required to replace Andros Townsend.
Gayle, meanwhile, will have the task of firing Newcastle to promotion.
The Magpies have been looking to improve their striking options this summer, and Gayle has been identified as Benitez’s first choice target.
