Ross Barkley left Everton for £15 million this past week.

Mick Quinn has questioned on talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast, broadcast January 10, how former Everton star Ross Barkley’s value dropped by £20 million in six months.
The 24-year-old left Everton to join Chelsea in a £15 million deal last week, according to The Daily Mail.
Barkley almost joined the reigning Premier League champions on deadline day during the summer, in a deal that would have cost £35 million, only for the midfielder to snub a medical and return to Merseyside.

The England international, who was out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer, hadn’t kicked a ball for the Toffees this season due to injury, but Quinn still believes that a £20 million drop in value is too much and calls for a “steward’s enquiry”.
He told talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show, broadcast Janaury 10: “Definitely a steward’s enquiry. Something seems wrong. You can’t lose £20 million in six months, can you?”
Barkley was unveiled by Chelsea ahead of last night’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final.

The Everton academy gem isn’t far away from a return to full fitness and he should, in theory, offer the wounded Blues a lot during the second half of the campaign.
Consistency and stagnation dogged him in the final seasons of his time on Merseyside, but he should be full of incentive to improve in West London.
