Newcastle United are currently the bookies favourites with SkyBet to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian international ended the season in superb form for the Blues despite being overlooked for the majority of the season.

Teams are clamouring for the chance to sign him if he is available next season, even just on a loan deal, with The Mirror reporting Newcastle’s interest.

One supporter took to Twitter to reach out to Batshuayi this week, asking what it might take to secure a signed shirt.

Batshuayi took the rare step of responding, and reminding the fan that he is not a Newcastle player.

Batshuayi was then hit with dozens of responses with the word ‘yet’, letting the striker know in no uncertain terms that he is wanted by the club’s fanbase.

It is as yet unclear what role Batshuayi will have at Chelsea next year, and whether he will be available or not.

If he is on the market, even on loan, he would be an even better addition than the player Newcastle are reported to have just missed out on to Swansea – report The Mirror, Batshuayi’s Chelsea teammate Tammy Abraham.
