West Bromwich Albion should make a loan move for Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi in the summer transfer window.

Michy Batshuayi is a very talented and promising striker, but the 23-year-old has failed to make a huge impact at Chelsea.

The Belgium international has not made a single start in the Premier League this season, as he has played second fiddle to Diego Costa.

Signed from Marseille in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £33 million, Batshuayi is far too good and expensive to be sold by Chelsea after just one disappointing season.

The London club should look to loan out the 23-year-old, and maybe playing a season at West Bromwich Albion would help.

West Brom need to sign a proven goalscorer in the summer transfer window in order to be more competitive for the 2017-18 campaign; they have scored only 39 goals in 34 league matches this season.

Batshuayi would be a brilliant signing for the Baggies. If manager Tony Pulis could convince Chelsea to pay part of his wages, then it would be a win-win situation for everyone involved.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the Belgium international scored 17 goals and created 27 chances in 36 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille, according to Squawka.com.

West Brom do not play free-flowing attacking football, but playing under Pulis for a season would be a good footballing education for Batshuayi and would help to adapt to the Premier League better.
