High-flying Tottenham Hotspur visit Everton next weekend.

Quoted by the club’s official website, Michel Vorm has told his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates not to let their 6-1 demolition of Inter Milan give them a false sense of reality ahead of next week’s Premier League visit to Everton.
Tottenham could not have finished their pre-season campaign in a more resounding way as Mauricio Pochettino’s men demolished the Italian giants on Friday.

Harry Kane – who netted twice – Erik Lamela, Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen and Shay Harrison were all on the scoresheet as Spurs put defeats by Juventus and Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer behind them.
It is sure to give Pochettino’s boys a very timely morale boost ahead of their trip to Goodison Park next Saturday, but it was just a friendly at the end of the day and Vorm warns his Tottenham team-mates to expect a much tougher test against Everton.

“You also know that the Premier League is totally different to the friendlies in pre-season,” he told Spurs’ website.
“Even though we’re happy about this result I think next week it’s totally different so we’re just going to work hard like we always do and make sure everybody is ready to get a good result at Everton.”
It will be Ronald Koeman’s first competitive game as Everton manager and that makes the Toffees even more dangerous from a Spurs perspective.
A number of Blues will be vying for the Dutchman’s affections next weekend, putting in a high level of performance in the process and Tottenham should be wary.
