It is fair to say West Ham United have not had the best of starts to the new Premier League campaign, with just three points from their first four matches.

Things looked to have turned for the better as two goals from the in-form Michail Antonio gave the Hammers a 2-0 lead against Watford on Saturday afternoon, but the Hornets had other ideas and by the end of the game they had scored four goals with no reply.

It was a bitter pill to swallow for West Ham and their fans. However for all the disappointment there is one big reason for their fans to be excited for the upcoming games.

While last season was all about Dimitri Payet, the opening games of this campaign have reinforced what a superb talent Antonio is.

The former Nottingham Forest player has been the brightest spark for West Ham so far and when you consider Payet, Manuel Lanzini and new signing Simone Zaza are all going to improve as the season goes on, that is great news for Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.

There are things he needs to work on, but Antonio stepping up when his more illustrious teammates are struggling is a sign of a future great.
