Michail Antonio shares prediction about Tottenham Hotspur’s top-four chances

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio is backing Tottenham Hotspur to secure a top-four finish this season.

Tottenham produced a huge result on Sunday afternoon, beating Aston Villa 4-0 at Villa Park.

Spurs went goal crazy in the second half, finding the net four times to coast home to victory.

This was a game that Tottenham simply couldn’t afford to lose, as such a result would have taken Villa eight points clear of Spurs in the race for fourth place.

Instead, Tottenham have now cut the gap to just two points and still have a game in hand on Villa.

This was a simply enormous win for Tottenham and the feeling is that Ange Postecoglou’s side may now have real momentum over Villa as they push for Champions League football.

Tottenham must back up that win at Villa with another positive result this weekend as they head across London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.

That won’t be an easy game but many will now be backing Tottenham to gather pace and finish in the top four.

West Ham United attacker Michail Antonio is one of them as he shares his predictions for the top four.

Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Antonio predicted that Tottenham will secure a fourth-place finish.

It’s not all good news for Tottenham though as Antonio also predicts that Arsenal will win the Premier League title.

Antonio is a Liverpool fan but still believes that the Gunners will finish the season in top spot.

“I’m gonna go Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Tottenham,” said Antonio. “Or come back to me in five games!”

You can be sure that there will be Tottenham fans out there who would sacrifice a return to Champions League action if it meant that they could guarantee Arsenal missing out on the title.

That is just the nature of football fans; feeling joy at your rivals’ misery is almost as enjoyable as your own team’s success!

Tottenham can only affect their own results though and a top-four finish in Postecoglou’s first season in charge would make a major boost for the club – as well as a positive view for the future.
