Antonio, 29, is yet to play 90 minutes for West Ham this season.
He played 45 minutes in both West Ham’s opening matches, and then came off the bench for the final 35 minutes of the win over Watford.
So it stands to reason he is looking forward to the chance to pick up some momentum tonight in the match with Newport.
A cup game like this gives Manuel Pellegrini the chance to rotate his team and even bring in a couple of youngsters.
It can lead to competition for places, and when West Ham are winning, its a great combination.
