Andy Carroll has not played for West Ham United this season, but is working his way back towards full fitness.

Michail Antonio has taken to Twitter to express his delight at seeing Andy Carroll make his return to the West Ham side – but the winger could not help but poke fun at his teammate.
Carroll is working his way back towards full fitness having not played at all this season due to an ankle injury. And Manuel Pellegrini gave him the chance to impress at Griffin Park on Thursday as the Hammers took on Brentford in a friendly.
It was a strong Irons side that took to the field, with Robert Snodgrass breaking the deadlock during the first-half and Javier Hernandez scoring from the penalty spot to secure the win after the home side had previously equalised.
He may not have scored, but it was a notable day for Carroll as he played the entirety of the second-half. And he will be hoping that he can finally enjoy a run of luck fitness-wise.

On his day, the 29-year-old is undoubtedly a threat to any side in the Premier League. Unfortunately, any West Ham fan would be forgiven for imploring Pellegrini to not rely on the Englishman given his track record.
For Antonio however, it appears that Carroll’s return is a massive boost for the Irons ahead of the busy festive period. But he could not resist making a joke at the striker’s expense on Twitter.

Here is Antonio’s post…
