West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has told The Independent that he thinks playing against Leeds United is more like running a marathon.
The Hammers travelled up to take on Leeds on Saturday afternoon, and went into half time 1-0 down through a Raphinha goal.
West Ham roared back in the second half, drawing level as Junior Firpo diverted Jarrod Bowen’s ball into his own net.
Antonio bagged a last-gasp winner, slotting past Illan Meslier with Leeds players caught up the field.
Antonio has now commented on Leeds’ style of play having gone through a real battle with the Whites just days ago.
The in-form striker has suggested that playing against Marcelo Bielsa’s side is ‘like running a marathon’.
Bielsa’s style of play not only means his own players have to run non-stop for 90 minutes, but the opposition have to as well just to keep up with them.
Antonio noted that he would ‘never’ run a marathon, so playing against Leeds is about as close as he will ever get.

Antonio did call Leeds a ‘quality’ team, and beating them in such dramatic fashion was just ‘unbelievable’ for West Ham.
“It was unbelievable,” said Antonio. “There’s nothing better than coming back from 1-0 down, especially against a quality team like Leeds because the way they play is completely different.
“Playing against Leeds is like running a marathon – that’s exactly how I see it. I would never run a marathon and that’s the closest thing to it for me! They’re a quality team so to come away with three points is fantastic. The overriding feeling is relief,” he added.
