Arsenal continue to be linked with potential playmaking additions this month, but whether they actually move for one remains to be seen.
The Gunners have seen Emile Smith Rowe thrive in their last three games, so the signing of a playmaker may no longer be a top priority.
Still, The Athletic reported last week that Arsenal have considered a move for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Julian Brandt.
Brandt, 24, hasn’t been in top form this season, registering no goals and just one assist in 13 Bundesliga appearances.
Brandt did at least star last season with seven goals and 13 assists in 42 games for Dortmund, playing in a host of positions under Lucien Favre.
His ability to play as a number 10 or on either flank should be appealing to Arsenal, and he still has plenty of potential at just 24.

Now, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has told Kicker that he has read of Arsenal’s interest, but can’t really say any more about it.
Zorc added that there are no offers on the table for Brandt right now, but he didn’t exactly rule out the possibility of selling him in January.
“I’ve read that too. I can’t say more about it. Nobody answered, there is nothing on the table,” said Zorc, leaving the ball in Arsenal’s court.
