Michael ‘Venom’ Page has put together one of the most eye-catching highlight reels in MMA.

And after signing with the UFC, Page said he was hoping to get stuck into the kind of matchups fans had been calling for. But his upcoming bout at UFC London doesn’t quite fit that bill, and he hasn’t been shy about voicing his frustration over it.

Even though he didn’t get the stoppage, Joe Rogan still praised how Page handled himself against Kevin Holland in his debut. His unorthodox approach and constant showboating seemed to throw Holland off throughout the fight.

‘MVP’ has built a career out of forcing opponents to break before the final bell, but there’s one fight that stands out above the rest for him.

Since 2018, Michael ‘Venom’ Page has built a career filled with headline moments, both in Bellator and now the UFC.

While fans may remember his highlight-reel knockouts against fighters like ‘Cyborg’ Santos, MVP has a different favourite when asked about his standout moment.

The fight ended with Rickels waving it off in the second round, but for MVP, it wasn’t just about the result. That night felt special for another reason. “It was one of those moments where I went into that fight already knowing I was going to win,” he said.

“I had been doing a lot of work behind the scenes. It was more my mental space as opposed to my physical ability.”

The timing couldn’t have been better, as Avengers: Infinity War had just hit cinemas the month before. One member of the audience took particular notice.

Actor Chris Pratt happened to be there that night and later shared his thoughts on social media, calling out how impressed he was by Page’s performance.

Later that year, Chris Pratt recounted his experience watching Michael ‘Venom’ Page live, this time during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show.’

“I was just having the time of my life,” Pratt said. “And the guy who won, this champion named Michael ‘Venom’ Page, comes out, and they bring him an Infinity Gauntlet. They slide it on his hand, and he’s the victor, and he looks and notices me and points to me outside of the cage.

“Meanwhile, 50 Cent is playing, and 50 Cent is right next to me. And the guy’s got an Infinity Gauntlet. It was like deja-vu. It was one of those moments where your life and your destiny intersect. It was just the craziest thing. I thought for certain I was going to wake up.”

Page also mentioned how having Pratt and 50 Cent in attendance added to what remains his favourite memory from Bellator.
