Leeds United’s season is fast collapsing. Not so long ago the Whites looked set for the playoffs, but now it appears that they are going to miss out on a place in the top six of the Championship.
The West Yorkshire outfit suffered their second defeat in a row in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, as they went down 2-1 to Burton Albion away from home at the Pirelli Stadium.
Garry Monk’s side remain seventh in the league table, but they are now three points behind sixth-placed Fulham.
With two more rounds of matches left in the Championship this season, it now looks that Leeds will miss out on a top-six finish.
On the other hand, Sheffield Wednesday are on the verge of booking their place in the playoffs. The Owls are currently fourth in the standings with 78 points from 44 matches.
