The former Ipswich Town manager is reportedly keen on the Sheffield Wednesday job.

Michael Vaughan has urged Dejphon Chansiri to make Mick McCarthy the new Sheffield Wednesday manager.
McCarthy has been linked with the Wednesday job, which is currently held by the under pressure Jos Luhukay.
Luhukay has overseen a disastrous run of four straight defeats, yielding an aggregate score of 12-2, after leading the Owls to sixth in the Championship.
And Vaughan is one of many Sheffield Wednesday supporters who appear to have reached the end of their tether where the Dutchman is concerned.
“Mick McCarthy wants the Wednesday job … Mick I will come and pick you up and personally drive you to Sheffield,” wrote the former England cricket captain on Twitter. “Mr Chansiri please make this happen ..”
“Just have a look at what happened to Ipswich when he left …”
McCarthy is out of work after leaving Wednesday’s league rivals, Ipswich Town, at the end of last season.
The experienced Yorkshireman led Ipswich to top-half finishes in three of his four full seasons in charge at Portman Road, which followed promotions at Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And he is also the candidate of choice for another high profile Owls fan, the Reverend and The Makers singer, Jon McClure.
