Glasgow Rangers made a number of summer signings, but Stewart has questioned whether any have been worthwhile.
Former Scottish Premiership midfielder Michael Stewart has suggested that of all of Rangers’ summer signings, only Josh Windass could perhaps be deemed to have been a worthwhile acquisition, The Scottish Sun reports.
Mark Warburton’s men have gone into the winter break in second in their first season back in the top flight. However, their final game before the break saw them lose against Celtic for the third time in all competitions this term.

But despite the most recent Old Firm clash seeing Rangers put up arguably their most spirited fight of the three, the loss has given Warburton much to think about during the January window as it allowed the Hoops to open up a 19 point lead at the top while also opening the door for Aberdeen and Hearts in the battle for second.
And Stewart has seemingly suggested that it was the recruitment in the summer that is to blame for their inability to put pressure on Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He told The Scottish Sun: “Who have they signed that has improved and added to the team? Of the ten outfield signings can you really say any of them have been better than what they already had?

“Warburton brought Jordan Rossiter, Matt Crooks, Joe Dodoo, Clint Hill, Philippe Senderos, Joe Garner, Joey Barton, Lee Hodson, Niko Kranjcar and Josh Windass to the club during the close season.
“You could argue that possibly Windass is the only success although that is tempered by the fact he’s had a number of injuries and we haven’t seen enough of him.”
Though Stewart believes that Windass is the only signing that deserves any praise, Gers fans may disagree with his assessment.

Clint Hill has been reliable at centre-back, Lee Hodson has impressed at full-back and become a genuine rival for both James Tavernier and Lee Wallace, and Joe Dodoo has shown glimpses of true quality, most notably against Partick in November when he scored twice late on to turn the game around.
And, of course, while Joe Garner has not been prolific in front of goal, he has endeared himself to supporters since his move to Ibrox.
