Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been touted as a potential successor to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Former Scotland midfielder Michael Stewart has ruined TalkSPORT presenter Jim White on Twitter after the latter claimed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was “wasting his time” as Hoops boss.
White made the claim after reports suggested former Liverpool and Swansea City manager Rodgers was on a star-studded list of managers to replace Arsene Wenger, with the Frenchman’s future set to be reviewed at the end of the season.
That is according to the Daily Mirror, who reckon Rodgers is just one candidate among an illustrious list of names that include Leonardo Jardim, Joachim Low and Mikel Arteta. White, who also works for Sky Sports, Tweeted:
But Stewart, who turned out for Hearts and Hibernian before becoming a pundit for BBC Sportscene, reacted by asking White if he was “having a laugh” on Twitter.
Rodgers is set to take to the dugout once again on Wednesday night as the Hoops look to numb the pain of their dismal European exit last week with three points over Neil McCann’s Dundee at home.
Old Firm rivals Rangers beat St. Johnstone on Tuesday night with an emphatic 4-1 win at McDiarmid Park and Celtic will need to earn a victory if they are to increase the gap back to nine points.
