Rangers climbed above Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table yesterday after beating St Johnstone.

Celtic remained stuck on 10 points after slipped to defeat against Kilmarnock.

The tables have turned since Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 at the start of the month to pull clear.

Scottish football pundit Michael Stewart hit out at Celtic via Twitter, insisting Brendan Rodgers’ team have ‘serious issues’ to address.

He blamed their poor summer transfer window, calling it a ‘debacle’.

Stewart was far more positive about Rangers, who beat St Johnstone 5-1.

Rangers have a one point gap over Celtic, with both sides behind league leaders Hearts, who are five ahead of Steven Gerrard’s team.

Both sides are in midweek action in the League Cup, with Celtic away to St Johnstone.
