James Forrest scored and provided two assists for Celtic as they dispatched Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend.

Michael Stewart has praised James Forrest for proving his worth on the pitch and to the fans in recent seasons after a ‘bumpy ride’ at Celtic.
The BBC Sport pundit also stated that anyone who has worked with or trained with Forrest would tell you that the 28-year-old is ‘phenomenal’ in training.
Over the weekend, Forrest helped Neil Lennon’s side thrash helpless Aberdeen 4-0, with the versatile attacker scoring one and supplying two assists to his teammates.
Speaking to Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland (28/10/19 at 7:00 pm), Stewart was asked whether someone like Forrest lacks ambition for not going out to try and test himself like Keiran Tierney.
“Everybody is different,” Stewart told Sportsound. “Everybody has a different makeup to their character and different things make them tick. To talk about having a lack of ambition by staying at Celtic and winning trophies I think is unfair.
“When you look at the heights that James Forrest has hit, and the performances he puts in Europe as well, I don’t think you can call someone unambitious. People’s career paths have different trajectories as well. Tierney from a very young age has been in that Celtic side and excelled.
“For James Forrest, it has been a bit of a bumpy ride. Forrest had a bit of an uneasy relationship with the Celtic fans, to begin with. He had a lot of injuries. You could see he had this potential. The numbers that he has now, in terms of assists and goals, that wasn’t happening earlier on. If you spoke with anyone who worked or trained with Forrest, they would say this guy is phenomenal.”

Celtic have nine Premiership titles in a row to win and Forrest will want to be part of that Bhoys team that creates history once again at the end of this season.
After thriving under Brendan Rodgers, Forrest is now showcasing his worth under Lennon, as he has been a standout performer already this term.
Forrest has played 21 games in all competitions for his side, scoring nine goals and providing his teammates with 11 assists [transfermarkt].
