Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers won against NK Osijek, with Gers striker Alfredo Morelos scoring for the Ibrox club.

Ibrox club Rangers took on Osijek away from home in the first leg of Europa League Qualifying Second Round tie on Thursday evening.
The Scottish Premiership side won the game 1-0, thanks to Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos’s goal in the 18th minute.
Rangers manager Gerrard has revealed what he told his players before the match.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website: “I thought the performance was strong and I thought defensively, we were very good.
“I thought there were some heroic individual performances in among that. We asked the players before the game, ‘can we keep another clean sheet, and can we get a very important away goal?’
“So the players have delivered and I am very happy and satisfied so far, but at the same time, we have a lot of respect for the opposition, there is still work to do and we need another big performance in seven days’ time.”

One of the stars for Rangers against Osijek was Connor Goldson, who had yet another solid game for the Gers.
The 25-year-old central defender moved to the Gers from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer for a fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £3 million.
Former Hibernian midfielder Michael Stewart was following the match, and the well-known Scottish football pundit has praised Goldson on Twitter, while former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae was impressed with the performance of Gerrard’s side.
