Rangers will host Celtic in the Old Firm on Sunday.

BBC Sport pundit Michael Stewart expects Alfredo Morelos to start for Rangers during their Old Firm showdown against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Morelos’ future in recent days, with Steven Gerrard sharing worrying comments that he is powerless to losing him before the European window slams shut at the end of the month, as he told The Scottish Sun.
Both Morelos and his fellow striker Jermain Defoe have started the season in a strong fashion and either player would be worthy of their place aginst Celtic.
Speaking to Sportscene on BBC One (26/08/2019 at 12:25 am), Stewart shared who may start the Old Firm clash and where the problems lie for Celtic.
“There will have to be a decision made by Steven Gerrard at the top of the park,” Stewart told Sportscene. “I think he will go for Morelos.

“But either option of Defoe or Morelos is clearly on form. They are both banging goals in. They are creating a little competition for each other. I think that area of the pitch is going to be so key for Rangers to makes sure whoever it is, Morelos or Defoe continues to perform the way they have been performing so far.
“For Celtic, equally the problem for them is being solid defensively because it looks like they are capable of cutting teams open at will.”
Morelos has been sent off in previous Old Firm matches, and it remains to be seen whether Gers manager Steven Gerrard will take that into account.
But during these early stages of the season, it seems as though Morelos has learnt from his past mistakes and he is letting his performances on the pitch do the talking.
Either way, Sunday’s clash, which will be sandwiched in between European ties, will provide either team with a chance to lay down a proper marker for the gruelling season ahead.
