Pundit Michael Stewart has told BBC Sport’s Sportscene that he thinks Rangers need more than the season ticket money Dave King has pledged to new signings.
The Gers ended their campaign with a 2-1 win at St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Kenny Miller and Jon Toral handed them all three points.

Rangers finished up in third place in the Scottish Premiership, a whopping 39 points behind league leaders Celtic and even nine points adrift of second placed Aberdeen.
Manager Pedro Caixinha, appointed in March, desperately needs investment to boost his team, with the Portuguese boss no doubt eyeing up a host of signings this summer.
Predecessor Mark Warburton never had the money to truly challenge Celtic, and questions are being asked about just how much Caixinha will be given to spend.

Rangers chairman Dave King recently claimed that he would invest all of the club’s season ticket income in new signings, with the Glasgow Evening Times estimating that to be around £13million – considerably more than Warburton ever got handed.
However, financial concerns linger at Ibrox, and pundit Michael Stewart has told BBC Sport’s Sportscene that, with the club already losing money, he doesn’t understand where the season ticket money is going if it isn’t being spent on new signings.

Stewart added that he thinks Rangers need more than their season ticket money to really challenge again, as Caixinha needs so many signings, but he doesn’t truly seem to believe King when he vows to invest.
“They need more than just the season ticket money to be spent on the playing staff,” said Stewart. “They’re in a position already where the club is losing money annually, so where is the season ticket going just now if it’s not going on the playing staff? They need more than that if they’re going to seriously put a challenge in, and Dave King has before spoke about tens of millions that was going to be spent – where is that money?” he added.
