Leeds United are in ‘serious trouble’.
That is according to Michael Owen, who has tweeted this afternoon following Leeds’ 4-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit have now shipped a shocking 20 goals in their past five Premier League outings.
The good news is that United are still three points clear of the relegation zone.
The horrible news is that 18th-placed Burnley – who are bang in form, too – have three games in hand over their West Yorkshire counterparts.

Relegation looming?
On form, absolutely.
Unless Leeds players give absolutely everything for Bielsa, they’re going to get relegated.
However, it’s worth pointing out that the legendary Argentine manager could potentially be setting up his players to fail.
Every single game, Leeds are trying to fight fire with fire against teams with a lot more, well, firepower.
Something has to give and on this form, it does look very ominous for the Whites.

Say what you like about the former Liverpool striker – and plenty do – but Owen is bang on the money here.
It’s a frightening proposition to consider that Leeds look incapable of picking up any points at the moment, particularly at this stage of the season.
But the former England international is right: United do look absolutely empty of ideas and if Bielsa cannot solve it, a return to the Championship is looking likely.
